1. Overview
Workout Interval Timer (the "App") helps you create and run interval timers for workouts. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the App, including information processed by our advertising provider.
2. Information Processed by the App
2.1 Timer presets and settings (stored locally)
The App lets you create timer presets (for example: interval durations, rounds/sets, rest times, preset names) and preferences (for example: sound/vibration settings). This information is stored locally on your device to make the App work. We do not operate our own server for storing your timer presets.
2.2 Workout statistics (stored locally)
The App tracks completed workout sessions to provide you with personal statistics (for example: total workouts, streaks, weekly and monthly activity). This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party. You can clear this data by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.
2.3 Advertising (Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK)
The App shows ads using Google AdMob. When ads are displayed, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically processes and shares certain information for purposes such as advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, including:
- IP address
- User interactions with ads (for example, ad views/clicks)
- Diagnostic information
- Device and account identifiers (including the advertising identifier, where available)
We do not receive or store your timer presets through AdMob. Ad-related data is processed by Google under Google's own policies.
2.4 Advertising mediation (AppLovin / MAX SDK)
The App may also deliver ads through AppLovin and the AppLovin MAX Mediation SDK, either directly or as a mediated demand source alongside Google AdMob. When ads are served through AppLovin, the AppLovin SDK may process and share certain information for purposes such as ad serving, measurement, attribution, and fraud prevention, including:
- IP address
- Device and advertising identifiers (including the advertising ID, where available)
- Coarse geolocation inferred from IP
- Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks, conversions)
- Device metadata (operating system, device type, locale)
AppLovin processes this data as an independent controller and/or processor under its own terms and privacy practices. For more information, see the AppLovin Terms of Service, the AppLovin Policies for Publishers, and the AppLovin Privacy Policy.
Where required by law (for example in the EEA/UK), we use a Google-certified consent management platform (the Google User Messaging Platform) to request your consent before the advertising SDKs process personal data for personalized advertising. You can change your consent at any time from within the App's settings.
2.5 Health and fitness data (Google Fit & Health Connect)
With your explicit permission, the App can write your completed workout sessions to Google Fit and Health Connect as exercise sessions (start time, end time, total duration, and an activity label such as "interval training").
- These integrations are strictly optional. The App works fully without them.
- We only write session data. We do not read or upload your Google Fit or Health Connect data to any server we operate.
- You can grant, review, or revoke permissions at any time from Android settings, the Health Connect app, or the Google Fit app. Revoking permission stops new writes; previously written sessions remain in Google Fit/Health Connect until you delete them there.
- Data you write to Google Fit or Health Connect is governed by Google's terms and privacy policies for those services.
Per Google's Health Connect and Fitness API policies, we do not transfer, sell, or use your health and fitness data for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties for personalized advertising or other unrelated purposes.
2.6 Third-party sound licensing (ZapSplat)
The App uses selected sound effects licensed from ZapSplat under the ZapSplat Standard License Agreement. Copyright in these sounds remains with ZapSplat and its contributors.
These sounds are used only as embedded audio in the App and are not redistributed as standalone sound files, sound libraries, or downloadable audio packs.
Attribution notice (where required by account/license terms): Sound effects obtained from ZapSplat - https://www.zapsplat.com.
3. How Information Is Used
- To provide core App functionality (running timers, saving presets, tracking workout statistics on your device).
- To display ads and measure ad performance, and to help prevent fraud/abuse in advertising.
- To write completed workout sessions to Google Fit and/or Health Connect, only when you have granted the relevant permission.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
Information is shared only as needed to show ads or to honour an integration you have enabled:
- Google (AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK) receives the data described in Section 2.3 when ads are served.
- AppLovin (MAX Mediation SDK) receives the data described in Section 2.4 when ads are served through AppLovin.
- Google Fit and Health Connect receive the workout session data described in Section 2.5 only when you have granted explicit permission.
5. Personalized Ads and Your Choices
Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your device settings, your choices, and applicable legal requirements. You can control ad personalization and your advertising identifier in your Android/Google settings.
6. Data Retention
- Local data (timer presets and workout statistics): remains on your device until you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App.
- Ad-related data: retained by Google according to Google's retention practices.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures within the App to protect locally stored information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Regional Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
- EEA/UK (GDPR/UK GDPR): the lawful bases we rely on are consent (for personalized advertising, where required) and legitimate interests (for basic app functionality, non-personalized advertising, security and fraud prevention). You can withdraw consent at any time through the in-app consent settings.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not "sell" personal information for money. Sharing with advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising may qualify as a "sale" or "share" under California law; you can opt out of personalized advertising through your Android settings and the in-app consent controls.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the revised Privacy Policy on this page.
